This guitar is alive.  It sounds so good, as do most that have been played as much as this one has.

It came in with some issues.  I hate seeing an old Martin like that so I sent it off to our friend Jeff Hoppe at South Sound Guitar Works up in Tacoma, Washington.  Jeff has done quite a few guitars for us now, and he never disappoints.

The guitar received a neck reset and a refret along with a new saddle to get the action all dialed in.  This also greatly improved what was already an excellent sounding guitar.  A pickguard area crack was stabilized.  Three side cracks were stabilized and an old under saddle pickup was removed.  The endpin jack was removed and a NoJack was installed to allow installation of a standard endpin.

It appears that the original bridge plate was changed at some point.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but it just looks too fresh.

The top and back are free of cracks, other than the typical pickguard shrinkage crack of course.  The top obviously shows extensive wear.  The neck is also free of repairs.  The tuners and the pickguard are original.

The guitar is big and bright sounding.  It is a cannon.

Included is a recent Martin hardshell case.
