I dropped the price on this so someone could enjoy it for the holidays. This is the lowest I will sell this for, otherwise I’m happy to keep it.

This is the rarest of the rare. In 2005, the Opry commissioned a series of guitars from Hamer. Hamer built 6-8 of the thin-body electrics in the New Hartford Shop, and designed this guitar as a lower-priced version to be built offshore. Production numbers for the imports are not obtainable, but there aren’t many of these, maybe as few as 3. They were built as proof-of-concept samples by Hamer's Chinese affiliate. I purchased this instrument at an employee sale at the time, and it’s been sitting in my home office since. While the Hamer name does not appear on the headstock, the headstock shape and seller provenance make this a rare find
The guitar itself is in mint condition, Cherry Transparent over spruce top and flame maple back and sides. Eighth notes inlaid into pearl stars at the 12th fret are a distinctive appointment to compliment the plain inlays on the rosewood fingerboard. “Grand Ole Opry” is inlaid into the peghead face on the distinctive Hamer headstock. 2 humbucking pickups, a TOM bridge and a trapeze tailpiece give the instrument a unique take on a jazz guitar!
Currently well-set up with D’Addario Chromes flatwounds, it comes with the original Hamer shaped wooden case.
