Teac 3440 4 track/4 channel semi pro reel to reel tape recorder- refurbished!

Up for sale is an excellent condition Teac 3440 reel to reel tape recorder. 
First off, we are one of the only facilities repairing reel to reel tape recorders in the Pacific Northwest.  We've worked on 100s of decks, from mono tube machines to 2" 24 track studio recorders, and have all of the tools, test equipment and calibration tape to properly align these units.  We picked up a few decks and vintage mixers from a fellow locally that had a small recording studio at home, but as he said, he's retired now, and would rather see the machines go to a good home than sit idle. He kept these units (more to be listed) in really good shape, he had recently replaced the belts, and all that was needed was cleaning of all controls and switches with DeOxIt, and a bit of a tweaking and alignment. As per the head pictures, they are in excellent shape, and the deck is flat past 20Khz at 15 IPS, and to about 19Khz with RTM 911 tape at 7 1/2. Note that this is a semi pro machine, it will not play 3 3/4IPS consumer tapes. As an audiophile deck to play the TAPE PROJECT'S tapes and others, or as a multitrack deck for your home studio, or simply to warm up your digital tracks, this deck is ideal for that. We've run through the deck completely, and have test run it for 24 hours to ensure long life.
Cosmetically, the deck is in far better than the typical 3440 deck is, the wood panels are clean, and the face of the deck is in excellent shape as well. INcluded with the deck are the two original NAB hubs as shown, and we will include a metal takeup reel as well. We know how to box these decks, and will double box, fully insure, and use lots of bubble wrap. We refund excess shipping, plus $10 for the boxes and bubble wrap, and local pickup is welcomed, either in Blaine Wa. 98230 or in Vancouver BC, where we can demo the deck for you.
