This is a very excellent example of a fully original, top to bottom late 1965, early 1966 Fender Stratocaster.

What can be said that hasnt already been said about the 1966 Strat? This particular ALL ORIGINAL example has nearly all 1965 components, from its 1965 "B' width neck, and pots, while the pickups are "1-10-1966"

The plastics are all original, the electronics undisturbed, the finish untouched, the decal original as well. Knowing how dubious some Fender custom color guitar claims can be. I have done my upmost to show that this finish is all original. One can see the era correct gold undercoat peeking under the finish from earnest playwear. The finish is substantially checked across the front and back, making this guitar one of the most charming Candy Apple finishes you could dream of. As shown in the photos the paint stick mark is correct, the routings original and untouched, there is even matching paint swap on the neck plate.

The finish on the neck and headstock are complete and original as is the logo, and tuners, there is not a flaw in sight on the neck whatsoever.

All of the pickups meter near the 5.8-6.0 oHm range, the original 3 way switch moves freely and clearly in each position. The 1965 dated pots are all flawless and smooth.

At some point the frets have been re done with medium wire as well as a very professionally appointed nut. The guitar is super easy to set up and plays so fluidly. This guitar is a true joy to look at and play! If youre looking for a completely up to snuff example of a custom color strat this one fits the bill!

Included is the original hardshell case, it functions across two of the 3 latches and is sturdy with a completely original handle.
