The KEX features lightwood and resonant basswood body-wings, one-piece through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement and scarf joint, and a 12-16 in. compound radius dark rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays.

Also equipped with a pair of volcanic Jackson high-output humbucking pickups, master volume and tone controls, three-way toggle switch and a Jackson-branded Floyd Rose licensed double-locking tremolo bridge, providing amazing tone, exceptional dynamic response and reliable performance.

What was refurbished on this guitar?
The only issue found by the certified refurbisher are 2 light scratches in the satin finish. I have included a picture pointing to them, but unless you are holding the guitar with the light at an angle you cannot see them.

FAQ, frequently asked questions

Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.

Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.

Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.

Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping.  Also some players like to set up a new guitar to their own personal preferences.

What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?  All refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.
