The instrument must be disassembled almost completely to reach the display.
For the new display to work, one SMD resistor on the mainboard of the Korg 01/W must be replaced.
Furthermore we recommend to take out of function the power supply for the old backlight. For this two components in the Korg 01/W have to be cut or desoldered. With this change the annoying beeping is eliminated.
This work is to be done only by technically, best electrotechnically savvy people.
