Wide hollow scaled down version of a full upright bass. Bass is constructed with sound bar for tone.
The hollow body picks up the true full acoustic sound opposed to a solid body. Neck is a full 3/4 scale 41.3". Beautiful Maple wood body. Neck is Maple, Bloodwood and Walnut lamination. Removable Neck for Airplane travel. Bloodwood Fingerboard. Quartersawn Zebra wood adjustable bridge. Bloodwood tailpiece. Unfinished Natural Maple wood body only fine sanding required and finish of your choice. F-hole cream binding installed. Chrome Grover bass tuners. David Gage Realist Live Line Professional Bridge Pickup. Adjustable Brass and steel End pin to 18 inches. White fret markers. The bass has been expertly setup with no string buzz at all locations of the fingerboard. Brass and Bloodwood nut for great sustain. Bass size: Body is 27"L x 15"W x 4" deep. Overall length is 58". My goal is to build an instrument that looks , plays, feels and sounds like an upright bass and still fits in a backseat of a small car. These basses are fully constructed on a CNC machine so the tone is accurate, consistent and balanced across all 4 strings.
