DX comes with upgrades for volatile memory and MIDI I/O. The upgrade also includes walnut sides but the original plastic sides are included.
The only electrical issue is that some of the buttons double trigger. The buttons can be replaced fairly easily. If using MIDI to trigger the DX, you won't notice a single issue.
The exterior looks a little rough as you can see in the pictures, but, this doesn't effect the usability in any way.
