Akai 280D-SS Quadraphonic/Stereo Reel to Reel Tape Deck

You've been wondering what you're gonna do with that box of quadraphonic reel to reel tapes your uncle left you. We say, sell them on eBay. Then, take the proceeds and buy this guy. It works as it should. We have been running it in stereo and it sounds fantastic. At living room levels, the sound is warm, deep and full. At higher volumes, there is some static noticeable. It could be the crappy power we have here or some interference from our FM transmitter. Or it could be a cap or something. This is in unrestored original condition, so it could benefit from some care. If you really do want to run this in quadraphonic, that would be really cool.
