This Jerry Jones Shorthorn 2PUP is part of the private collection of John Mellencamp's guitarist Mike Wanchic & Echo Park Studios.

Jerry Jones created his own guitar company out of Nashville in 1981 after a career as a successful independent luthier. His products were mainly reinterpretations of Danelectro models and parts. Production ceased in 2011 when Jerry retired and sold off his remaining inventory.

Purchased new by Wanchic and was used on the Mellencamp album “When Ever We Wanted” and toured on the album cycle that followed. This was eventually used on other Mellencamp records following. Unfortunately this guitar was no longer being used so now it is available for you on Reverb!

Neck is straight and true and the electronics test a little scratchy from not being used as of late. Some contact cleaner will easily correct this issue. Some wear to the pick guard. Belt rash on the backside. We have done our best to document any cosmetic flaws in our photography here on the site.

Ships in an OHSC and ready to rock!

All items in Mike Wanchic / Echo Park Studio's Reverb Shop ship fully insured with a signed and embossed Certificate Of Authenticity by Mike Wanchic.
