Kendrick Amplifiers Quantum K 18 2020s - Python Snakeskin Tolex

I have hosted a Tube Guitar Amplifier Webinar every Tuesday night for over 12 years. This is a webinar for aspiring amp techs, hobbyists, and amp designers. I was asked to design an amp online so my webinarians could see the process. This took several months of Tuesday nights. For every design consideration , I selected features by "vote of the class". You can imagine what happened. The class wanted every feature one could possibly think of:

* Two channels, ( one lead and one clean)

* Three-knob reverb (dwell, tone and mix) Tube and transformer driven, full size reverb pan,

* Tremolo speed and intensity

* Solid-state/Tube switchable rectifier

* Variable negative feedback control (make it as raw as you like)

* Built-in power-attenuator (turn your amp up and your speakers down)

* Headphone jack that automatically disconnects the speaker for private practicing

* Kendrick Kwik bias feature to quickly adjust bias when in fixed bias mode

* Features two EL84 output tubes

* KENDRICK 15" Yellowframe Speaker

* Massively overbuilt output transformer (as much iron as a Twin, rich and aggressive).

* Massively overbuilt power supply for that high-performance "sports car" feel

After I designed the circuit, I designed the perfect layout with all the grounds in the correct places, and the lead dress perfect for the ultimate in quietness and negligible hum. All thirty-five webinarians wanted to build one and requested I make kits available for everyone. Of course, I had to build a couple of prototypes first to fine-tune and tweek some of the component values to really voice everything nicely. The combo amp in this listing IS THE ORIGINAL PROTOTYPE Combo 1X15 amp that I voiced to perfection. It is the pinnacle amp that all the other kits would all be striving to be like.

I am offering this custom-built combo amp (with more features than any other boutique amp) for $3,900.

Note: I did make a 2nd prototype that was listed separately here on reverb. It was exactly the same amp chassis design, however; it was in a Head format. Everything else was the same, even the python snakeskin Tolex covering. It was gone in two days!
