This very special . .. ...1994 Jim Triggs "Round Midnight" thin line archtop, 17" body width at the lower bout, 650mm or 25 1/2" scale length, 45mm or 1 3/4" nut width, Solid cared spruce top, Maple body, solid mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard solid ebony fingerboard, double bound body, fingerboard and peg-head, double bound f-holes, Massive brass tailpiece, gold hardware including Grover Imperial tuners, bone nut, tunamatic intonated bridge, and Ebony bridge base, Gold Bigsby Vibrato pearloid stair-step truss rod cover and pearloid stair-step pick-guard, pearl head-stock inlay, Tommy Doyle (Les Pauls Guitar Tech) installed Custom humbucking designed pickups, volume and tone controls, one switch, notably is the designation. Comes with comfortable "D" neck-profile and a comfortable 9.5" radius fingerboard and perfectly set action action, frets and action are set by our Galletta shop, Frets are MJ frets. Jim Triggs is a highly regarded Archtop maker, who learned the trade long ago working in the Gibson Custom shop. This extraordinary guitar is a unique early Triggs in excellent+ condition. Some weather-checking to the finish, but almost no play-wear. The guitar travels in a leather arched case. This guitar was made for Michael O'Dorn specifically.

About Michael O'Dorn 

Inspired by his father's recordings and the gift of an early '50s Gibson acoustic, Michael O'Dorn began playing guitar when he was about six years old. He learned to play fingerstyle listening to records repeatedly until he was able to figure out progressions and licks. Michael's early influences included Merle Travis and Chet Atkins, and later Marcel Dadi. He would eventually meet all three of his guitar heroes.

    When he was in his 20's, Travis encouraged Michael to "keep pickin'" and even showed him some of his original licks. Michael recalls, "I went home and practiced 'til my fingers fell off." Michael's diligence paid off in the form of an endorsement relationship with D'Aquisto Strings which lead to meeting Marcel Dadi at a NAMM Show. Marcel and Teddy Krause of D'Aquisto Strings arranged for Michael to perform at the 1994 Chet Atkins- Marcel Dadi guitar festival in Issoudun, France.

    It was there that Mark Pritcher, the president of the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society, invited Michael to perform a concert set and teach a workshop on the music and style of Merle Travis at the annual CAAS convention in Nashville. Michael has been invited back every year since. In 1995 Michael and Marcel Dadi were driving around Nashville when Marcel asked him to pull over at a familiar mansion on Seventeenth Avenue. To his surprise, he spent the day with Mister Guitar himself-- Chet Atkins. Chet gave Michael a theory lesson and taught him his arrangement of Mister Bojangles. 

While travelling the world and playing at D'Aquisto Strings at various NAMM Shows in Anaheim California and NAMM, Nashville Tennessee, Michael was able to amass just about all his guitar heroes signatures on this ONE guitar . ..  I do not think that there are very many guitars of this caliber that have the autographs of this guitar has in the world!
