For your consideration is a very rare 1985 Marshall JCM800 2203 with Elan Memran's Metalhead modifications. This 1985 was an earlier one that has five filter capacitors before they were changed to only four. Transformers are original.

The push pull pot engages the added two gain stages. When the pot is not engaged the amp is a bone stock JCM800 with the only difference being Elan used all shielded leads. The amp has a sweet tone and goes from clean to mean with little volume drop. It cleans ups better than any other mod I have owned and I have owned many. The amp had a full cap job professionally and cleanly installed. You do not need a tone sucking noise gate with this amp. With both gains on full I can mute the strings when I stop playing with no feedback. The amp also idles quietly considering the amount of gain it has.

It also has a burned in NOS quad of old Tesla E34L that sound incredible. Preamp is a mix of new production.

I pack extreme and ship quickly insured. I am only selling because I have stopped playing after losing my Wife tragically. Take advantage as these do not come up often and this one operates perfectly. Back panel included.
