Reynolds 50C Bb Trumpet (1947) SN 10254 (very rare model 50C)

Reynolds 50C Bb Trumpet SN 10254 (very rare). Year 1947. All valves, slides, pistons and water keys work well. Polished and professionally cleaned. Comes with original case. Very difficult to find - super rare - 50C!

Valves are in great condition as they are made of pure nickel silver. New felt, corks and water keys on the entire instrument. Case cleaned with folex to refresh the felt.

Historical collectors note: Of the model 50‘s produced by Reynolds there are four variants models A-D. The D was still produced after models A-C and is the less rare version. Models A-C are the most rare.

Player Note: plays beautifully, slots well and has signature Reynolds tone. Valves particularly smooth and impressive. Great feel and tone overall and plays nicely in upper registers. One of the best horns I’ve played!

Brass Technicians Note: Valves are properly ported “aligned.” New felts throughout and new corks throughout.
Underlying tuning slide tubes on the tuning slide are just fine as well as the crook ends, if you ever want to replace the ferrules on the tuning slide for cosmetic reasons. Resolder performed - with silver solder, shown on 1st tuning slide bottom. Ferrules on the tubes connecting to the crook can easily be replaced by a tech of your choice, if you desire after buying the horn. All other pieces and parts in excellent condition! Superb for its age!
