Quick notes:

1 — This is consigned.

2 — Any repair work has been done so it plays spot-on unless otherwise noted!

3 — I usually ship in 2-3 days but sometimes can get backed-up if a lot of orders come in at once. I like to make sure I have time to check the setup, restring if the strings are tired, and make any adjustments needed before shipping. If you need faster shipping, please make me aware!

4 — Please read the following text for full details and specs -- it's borrowed from my original blog post on it...

This is a '50s or early '60s Pfretzschner-branded violin, made in West Germany, and well-built. It's got a nice look and is made from good materials, though it does have a hilarious "faux flame" finish job to the back of the neck. That's typical for the time.

It puts out decent volume for a 3/4 and the sound is clean and crisp and accurate. It has a little woodiness on the low end that suits fiddling, too.

Repairs included: cleaning, setup, minor adjustments.

Top wood: solid spruce

Back & sides wood: solid flamed maple

Bridge: maple

Fingerboard: ebony

Neck wood: maple

String height: "medium" -- between low/fiddle and classical

Strings: unknown, older steel core of some sort

Neck shape: slim-medium C

Neck relief: straight

Scale length: 11 3/4"

Nut width: 7/8"

Body length: 13 1/4"

Body width: 7 3/4"

Body depth: 1 1/2" + arching

Weight: 0 lbs 15 oz

Condition notes: it's in good shape overall with just light wear and tear throughout. The fittings are generally nice (ebony board, synthetic tailpiece with adjusters) but the pegs are not fit the best. They work but the fine tuners definitely come in handy. There are no cracks. The bridge is on the low side but works fine.

It comes with: a funky old hard case.
