Fender Special Run (Limited Edition) Deluxe PJ Bass Sea Foam Pearl

This recent-issue, limited edition Deluxe PJ Bass came to our store in a trade (originally commissioned as an FSR—Fender Special Run—by a big-box dealer). It’s a serious mashup, combining a P Bass body with a '70s Jazz Bass neck, and P/J pickup combo. Lightweight and resonant, this bass is in great condition, and appears to have been played very little.

It features an alder body with Sea Foam Pearl urethane finish, maple neck and bound maple fretboard with black block inlays. Precision and Noiseless Jazz pickups offer both the growl of the J Bass bridge position and the unbeatable P Bass split single-coil neck/middle pickup. Volume/Volume/Tone controls give you plenty of tonal range. A Fender high-mass bass bridge completes this very distinctive bass.

For what it's worth, this is an MIM model (Made in Mexico). That said, we find the quality of Fender’s south-of-the-border workmanship to be consistently top-notch. We simply mention it for point-of-origin information.
