Here is a rare custom exceptional Hive Custom Hornet Master Grade Quilted Maple and Torrified Adirondack Tenor Ukulele made by master luthier Jake Maclay. From the collection of a well-known musician and guitar collector, this Hive tenor is in pristine condition and is one of the the most beautiful and tonally balanced tenors we've ever heard.

The master grade AAAA wood chosen for this uke should be criminal. The top features an incredibly resonant set of almost iridescent at times torrefied Adirondack Spruce, the back and sides are made of the most beautiful and intense quilted maple that looks almost holographic and the neck has some of the deepest flamed maple we've ever seen. The finest ebony was chosen for the fretboard and the Hive fret markings are so incredibly striking and unique. And of course, the rosette is simply out-of-this-world beautiful.

Master Luthier Jake Maclay is among the absolute best ukulele makers in the world. His designs are original, tonally refined and simply gorgeous. This particular tenor features flawless craftsmanship and a huge, warm tone. It is lightweight and extremely easy and fun to play. It features a sound port and comes with top of the line Waverly tuners and a deluxe Ameritage hard case with a hygrometer and humidifier.
