Larrivee SD-50 SH is a 12-fret slot-head dreadnought on consignment with the shop. This particular one is a 2004, the first year of production for this model. One of the most delightful burst finishes to come through the shop, the guitar plays exceptionally well. Our understanding is that Jean Larrivee did the burst finish himself.
In excellent condition, the only notable flaws are a slight scratch on the top just north of the sound hole and a very small nick on the top of the treble side of the headstock. Both imperfections are shown in the photos.
Specification-wise, the SD-50 SH is built with mahogany back and sides and topped with Sitka spruce. Neck is mahogany; headplate is Indian rosewood and fretboard is ebony. Nut and saddle are bone. In addition to the burst finish, this one varies from the standard SD-50 with ebony bridge pins with abalone dots and an abalone rosette.
Scale length is 25.5 inches; nut width is 1 ¾ inches and string spacing is to be 2 3/8 inches.
Includes pictured HSC.
