[I had this listed a while back, changed my mind about selling, but now I've decided to let her go to fund a new amp]
This is a 2015 Gibson Les Paul Studio in rare, beautiful silver pearl (factory color). The guitar has been "chromed out," with chrome pickup rings, pickup selector, and cover plates.
There are several professional upgrades on this Les Paul. It has been re-fretted with STAINLESS STEEL FRETS for a lifetime of use (and frets were leveled as well). You will wear out before these frets do! While it was being re-fretted, my luthier replaced the cheap, acrylic fretboard inlays (which ALWAYS yellow over time) with genuine MOTHER-OF-PEARL inlays. The re-fret and inlays were a $480 mod.
The guitar also has upgraded GROVER LOCKING TUNERS ($70), a must on just about any Gibson.
The pickups (490R/498T) sound amazing and have solderless connections for easy swapping.
WEIGHT: 8lbs, 11 oz
Also worth noting: even though the fretboard is rosewood, it is very dark and could pass for ebony. This makes the guitar look a lot classier and really pops the silver color and the white inlays.
Overall condition is excellent. A few very minor surface marks, but nothing through the paint and nothing that sticks out or looks bad. No breaks or repairs, action is low and neck is dead-straight.
The case is in great shape, and all the latches work properly, The original handle broke and was replaced by heavy-duty half inch zip ties and tape (don't laugh--it works, it looks fine, it's comfortable, and 10 times stronger than the original handle!).
Thanks!
