A beautiful, vintage classical guitar, made by renowned luthier, Masaki Sakurai, in 1976, under the supervision of his uncle, Masaru Kohno, widely regarded as the greatest Japanese luthier. Cedar top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, ebony fretboard. All original parts; new strings. Projects a lush, warm tone; perfect for a serious performing guitarist.
I am the original owner, purchasing in 1976, when I was studying classical guitar while in college. It had considerable use until I graduated in 1980. My relentless work schedule at that time resulted in the guitar being virtually untouched for 37 years. Now, I'd rather see it in the hands of someone worthy of such a fine instrument. When I was playing it, I took excellent care of it, always cleaning with soft cloth before storing in hardshell case, which is included.
UPDATE:In response to several inquiries, here are some specs: Scale length: 660mm Nut: 52.5 mm (Way back when I played, I don't even remember these measurements being discussed. I've learned that most guitarists now prefer a shorter scale length.)
Local pickup only-in the New Orleans area. I'm very old fashioned; I can't conceive of anyone buying a guitar until they've had a chance to play and thoroughly inspect.
