Black Volt Guitars, like their amplifiers, are all made from mostly reclaimed wood dating from the last one to two hundred years, honoring the tones found in their favorite guitars from the Golden Age of guitar production, the 1940's to the 1960's.

Each and every guitar is unique and tells it's own special story depending on the age, origination and species of wood used in it's construction.

They use woods from downed Southern Hay Barns, Tennessee Tobacco drying barns, California Sequoia Redwoods ( some salvaged from home siding withstanding decades of weather), Southern California Pine from old home construction, Hollywood bowl seats of Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Spruce and much more.
