1960's Besson 3 Valve Vintage Bb Tuba 17" Bell Silver "50 Medals of Honor"

For sale is a lovely vintage Besson Bb Tuba, in good overall shape - although the Bell unfortunately has some damage/warping. This could likely be repaired by a professional, but from what I can tell it doesn't affect the playability of the instrument. There is also some wear throughout, as well as some light denting here and there on longer portions of tube. I was told it is a 3/4 scale Tuba, but after investigating this, I don't believe it is (worth mentioning though, in case it is). The bell has a diameter of 17 inches across, and from the bell to the bottom of the instrument is just under 40 inches. The valves all compress and depress nicely, could use some oil but don't appear to have any issues. From what I can tell, this is from either 1965 or 1966, based on the Boosey and Hawkes list (who acquired Besson in the 50's). The "50 medals of honor" mark that exists on some older Besson brass instruments is present on it, as well as the "London, Paris, New York" mark. I am unsure of what model this would be referred to as, it doesn't appear to be an imperial, prestige or a new standard, so I am not listing it as any specific model. If you have any specific information about it however, I would be happy to receive it. The serial number listed is 403812, which is what dates it to that age. This comes with what may be the original case, but is a nice fitting case nonetheless. There is not a lot of information surrounding these instruments unfortunately, so I am listing it in hopes that someone will give me a better idea of what it is, realize a great deal, or make a fair offer.
