Regarding Shipping: No case or gig-bag is included with this instrument, but rest assurred, it will be well-packed for shipping. I've shipped instruments, amps & music gear all over the world for the last ~25 years using my patent-applied-for 'Samurai Armor' method of combining layers of shock-absorbing materials & layers of impact-resistant materials with the goal of achieving maximum bomb-proof protection at a minimum shipping weight. Light! Flexible! Strong!
Applicable to Instruments: The action on my instruments is setup medium-low & adjusted to my own playing preferences. It might be fine for you or leave something to be desired.
Between the handling involved in shipment & the differences in climate across the country, your instrument may need some minor adjustment to play its best, no matter how perfectly it was setup prior to being packed up for shipment. For the best playing experience, I'd recommend getting a pro setup at your local guitar shop. Even better, by investing a small amount of time & money, you can cultivate the skills & acquire a few fundamental tools to be able to do pro-level setups yourself. By taking this path you can be confident that any instrument you encounter will be setup to your own preferences.
