Original vintage Studer Revox G36 Stereo Tube Reel to Reel recorder/player with carrying case, Original Owners Manual/Paperwork, front and back covers. This was built when Studer Revox was at the top of their game, incomparable Swiss design, craftsmanship, attention to detail, parts quality, fit, finish, sound quality and performance. It comes with all the original Philips Miniwatt tubes that were made in Holland(Ex Quality Tubes). It has an onboard 6.5" full range speaker and small tube power amp using ECL86 Philips Miniwatt tubes. It will accommodate 7" and 10" reels, 3.75 and 7.5 speeds, tube cats eye indicator, superb transport and head design. It is a testament to the quality of this machine, in that, it is still working, sounds very nice and is completely original. It has been well cared for and always in a non smoking climate controlled environment. These have a legendary pedigree as they were used in many vintage recording studios to obtain that musical and involving analogue sound. The heads show no wear. The tape counter is not workign, probably the little drive belt that is available. It is very heavy and fortunately comes with the original protective carrying case. It will be sold as described, but may need the typical cleaning/adjusting and restoration that all vintage tape decks require for optimum performance. The shipping cost includes safe packing, Reverbs Insurance/Protection, prompt shipping and tracking number. See the specs below. Buy with confidence, see my feedback. It is a very very cool deck, lots and lots of mojo. Good Listening, SonnY :) See specs below:

The Revox G36 was the crowning achievement in the development of tape recorders in tube technology. For the first time, coils with a diameter of 26.5 cm could be placed. The Revox F36 and predecessor could be operated with a maximum coil diameter of 25 cm. For the first time, a synchronous motor was used as tone motor in the Revox G36.The Revox G36 had mechanical band end switches in two versions. Until device number 36,500 a microswitch was used. From device number 36.501 to 58.000 a feeler operated gold-plated wire contacts. From serial number 58.001, the tape end was scanned optoelectrically. A light guide through the right pulley and the photoresistor in the stationary bolt was a strange design - more on that later! The construction of the Revox G36 is already awesome. Ultra-long rods for the pots and rotary switches provide for short signal paths, the tubes in rank and file, the associated resistors and capacitors as well. The machine is not only fun in operation, the revision is thanks to the well thought-out design pure joy. And all that in 1963 - what a vintage piece of equipment.
