LIMITED TO ONE X-1 PER PERSON
About Spaceman's X-Series
This series is an homage to NASA's X-Plane experimental aircraft program which pursues exploration of high-speed planes, atmospheric flight research and test projects. Spaceman’s X-Series will be a set of prototype pedals, in their raw, conceptional form, for interested pilots to conduct flight testing on modified or unique vehicles and systems. Expect brutal, perilous situations, and unpredictable results. Not all test type vehicles will move into the production phase, each entry into this series will be highly specialized equipment intended to push the boundary of sonic research.

Introducing the X-1
The X-1 is a hybrid germanium & silicon fuzz. Its primal, minimalist approach, is underpinned with a surprisingly wide range of overdrive, distortion and all out fuzz destruction. Given the prototype, uncensored nature of this device, only skilled candidates are encouraged to brave the pilot’s seat.
This vintage-inspired design has just three controls:
Gain: An input level control. Sweet and crunchy in the lower range, rude and raunchy in the higher range.
Level: The output level control allows you to rein in the overall volume of the X-1.
Clipping: Two-way toggle switch that introduces anti-parallel soft-clipping diodes for a tighter, more modern sound in the right-hand position. When set to the left-hand position, no clipping diodes are in circuit.

Truly Handcrafted
Hand-wired and built in Portland, Oregon, the X-1 features mechanical true-bypass switching via heavy duty 3PDT footswitch. On top of the raw silver cast-aluminum enclosure sits a durable, engraved vinyl faceplate, jewel indicator light, and vintage Daka-ware control knobs. This pedal is built to last a lifetime, both on Earth or in the vacuum of space.
