While the world tried to find its footing in the spring of 2020, I was doing the same and undertook a project as a distraction. I gathered up the parts for a batch of seven ukuleles and started building, enjoying the focus of being in production but also appreciating the opportunity to build and finish with a lighter touch than is required in the steel string guitar world. This is one of the remaining instruments from that. It is a light, responsive friendly instrument built with mostly local materials (everything except the ebony appointments). The wood has handsome figure and colour including some spalting. I chose to keep the small voids in the sides instead of filling them retaining the rustic character of the material. Please contact me for more photos or details, I'm glad to answer your questions.
