Reichelt's Pianochordia
This rare instrument is similar to the Dolceola, another unusual piano-zither. The Pianochordia was built around 1910, and is the most complicated European piano-zither we know of. Unlike the Dolceola, it is double-strung, such that it sounds closer to a Marxophone or Celestaphone. Don't miss out on this instrument, as you will not see one again...it's the first one we've seen in about a decade.

This instrument will need some TLC to get to playing condition again, but the good news is that the action seems to be almost fully intact (a few piano keytop laminates are missing, and two black keys need to be reglued), and the soundboard doesn't appear to have a crack in it other than near one of the tuning pins (but that crack doesn't seem to extend into/beyond the bridge). The back has some cracks, and there is some lifting from the back. As this instrument will need repair, it is sold as-is, and we have priced it accordingly at $995 (when fully working, these can be worth almost as much as a Dolceola.

Comes with its original 100+ year old box, the cover of the manual, and tuning key.
