THE “FAKE E. LEE!”
An honest take on Jake E. Lee’s heralded HSS “Whitey Charvel” - originally a 1974 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst hardtail.
A lightweight adler body, 22 fret maple neck/rosewood fretboard plus cool, white matching headstock. This one will NOT break the bank OR your back... Some obvious minor differences for die-hards but I stuck to the specs as best I could & overall, am satisfied with how this build came together. It rocks & rolls the right way & most importantly, is fun to play!
This guitar is in between great & extremely good condition & has a great vibe.
Created by Steve Dawson in Los Angeles, CALVIN GUITARS honor that traditional & classic design but are embellished with a bit of glam & modifications - all at a very affordable & fair price

**This guitar is a generic build of Jakes ‘Whitey” but turned out very cool for what it is. Expected subtle imperfections / mods aside to get it right, the guitar is in between great & extremely good condition & has a great vibe. Body is used but in great condition. Pegs are brand new. Neck is basically new, as it is an open-box neck with a re-shaped headstock. Guard/PU’s etc are new but modified & wired by myself.
**NOTE: this is NOT a hardtail, as the tremolo cavity had been previously routed a bit wide for a large block & therefore a hardtail bridge would not fit properly ***BUT - it is decked, looks right & if the player wished to revert to using it as a standard tremolo/vibrato, that can happen but MUST BE SET UP AGAIN.
*Chrome tremolo bar included if needed - choice of black or white tip.
*2 magnets included if buyer wishes to adhere them to the cavity cover, hence the upper right screw not installed due to an underlying magnet.
*NOTE: this build isn’t a "Calvin" build but a generic, parts-build.
YOUTUBE DEMO: *Please note the demo had a 21 fret neck but the current 22 fret neck does not affect sound, feel & vibe in any way*
