This amazing amp allows you to use over 54 different tubes types.
By combining different tubes you change your sound. Pure tube tone.
This is a custom ordered Superbaby that is stereo meaning that you can use different tubes on each side.
Each side can have a different preamp tube and power tube. They share the same rectifier tube.
I will be including a full set of tubes and a couple of extra and unusual tubes. A few will be NOS and vintage.
I'll include a yellowjacket adapter that will let you use EL84s and such.
This Is my favorite amp ever due to the fact that I can make it sound different every time. Each channel can sound different making for vast soundscapes. I write down my favorite combinations otherwise I couldn't remember them.
For those who haven't played with a stereo guitar rig, I have to say that the first time I played with stereo effect pedals, I found it mind blowing. With this amp, I didn't have to use two separate amps and it is quite compact.
I was asked a question if both speaker outs needed to be connected while the amp was running. The quick answer is don't need to connect a speaker to a side that has no signal going in.
My reply was:
"You don't need both the speaker outs connected. If you have one signal going in, say to the left channel the left speaker outputs out that signal. If nothing is going into the second input, you don't need to have a speaker on it. I had used it in mono many times using only one side with one speaker."
Comes with the original manual
From Emery Sound:
This low powered 100% tube amplifier was designed to provide the sound quality and tonal response of a hard working vintage amp, but at real world -studio, small club, home- volume levels. Class A single ended power stage provides detailed clean sounds and raw, articulate natural output tube distortion, all under finger tip control. Lower volume settings or a light touch produce a lush ringing clean sound, with your tone getting gradually more aggressive as you crank it up and dig in. Don't let the power rating fool you, this amp will push pure raunch through a 4x12 if you so desire! Self adjusting cathode bias allows you to change the tube set up at will to get a HUGE variety of different responses. Most of the major guitar amp tubes can be used, and, since you only need one tube of each type, you can afford to experiment. The old collectable tubes are getting incredibly expensive! Tube matching is also no longer an issue.
The Superbaby will bias itself for any of these common tube types, with no need for a tech, and no need to be stuck using only one limited tube set up! Produces 6-12 watts per channel depending on the tube set up used.

Front Panel: 2 INPUT jacks, VOICING switch, 2 TONE controls with bypass, 2 VOLUME controls
Back panel: POWER/STANDBY switch, 2 speaker OUTPUTS (4-8-16 ohms)
The three position VOICING switch configures the gain & dynamics of both the preamp and power amp stages. Each setting allows a full 'clean-to-scream' spectrum of tones, but with a different feel and gain structure.
Clean - low gain preamp with lots of sweet natural compression,
makes the amp more controlled throughout its range.
Loose - raw, juicy, versatile, and harmonically rich, the most touch responsive mode. Lots of sag.
Boost - adds drive, punch, & pure raunch.
The VOLUME and TONE controls are quite interactive. Use both to create a wide range of gain structures and EQ curves. The TONE control is a purely subtractive, passive EQ. Consider the middle area to be the 'neutral' position. Turning to the left subtracts treble frequencies and gain, turning to the right subtracts bass frequencies and gain. To produce a wide open, less filtered tone,
you can bypass the TONE control entirely by clicking it fully CCW. The VOLUME control determines how hard your signal hits the output tube and ultimately how clean or dirty your sound is.
True 'on the fly' point to point wiring provides a solid, hard-wired signal path that is as short, direct, and harmonically rich as possible. No circuit boards of any kind are used to facilitate assembly line mass production. All circuit components are soldered directly to each other whenever possible, an approach that minimizes the number of solder joints and extra wire required to build a given circuit- about a third fewer solder joints and literally FEET less wire than standard tagboard point to point technique. Good for reliability, quiet operation, and dynamic TONE! The result is a clarity of articulation and sound that is astoundingly satisfying to play!
