Funk Fingers are a type of drum stick that attach to the fingers of a guitar or bass player who use them to produce percussive sounds. Their creators, Mr. Tony Levin and his tech Andy Moore, wanted to recreate the effect of drumming on a bass string that drummer Jerry Marotta did on the recording of “Big Time” by Peter Gabriel on his album “So.”
Tony’s company Papa Bear Records made the Funk Fingers available for a short run between 1998 and 1999. THey immediately sold out and weren’t reissued until 2013 by Expanding Hands Music.
These specific Funk Fingers are from the original production run. Get your funk on!
