The vintage Yamaha SB-100 Professional System Board was the master board for 01 series pedals. This specific unit was used on what is arguably King Crimson•À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌÌ´åÈs most famous performance: the televised live performance on ABC TV•À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌÌ´åÈs On Fridays show (04-10-81).
About the show, DGMLIVE notes:After the final night of the tour proper in Vancouver, the Crimson crew headed to the studios of ABC to rehearse and record their spot for ABC•À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌÌ´åÈs flagship comedy vehicle. Touted as a rival to Friday Night Live, ABC•À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌÌ´åÈs Fridays enjoyed a run of three years.
On the night King Crimson played •À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌÌΕÀ_Elephant Talk•À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌ•À_ÌÛ_ and •À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌÌΕÀ_Thela Hun Ginjeet,•À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌ•À_ÌÛ_ they were sandwiched between show regular, comedian Rich Hall and Easy Rider star Peter Fonda. The two numbers make for a pretty interesting not to say edgy contribution on a show whose musical guests were generally a tad more conventional. After this show went out, just five days later the team were in Japan to conclude a truly momentous year in the KC calendar.While it•À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌÌ´åÈs not too tough to find an SB-100, it is harder to find a complete unit. What•À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌÌ´åÈs more, this unit ships in a custom flight case with a sticker from Yamaha•À_ÌÝåÁÌÎÌÌ´åÈs Shibuya Shop.There is only one of these in the world that carries this much provenance. Tested and works perfectly. Pots need a little cleaning. Board has original tape markings for effects settings onÌÎå«ÌÎ_Elephant TalkÌÎå«ÌÎ_and Thela Hun Ginjeet. Comes with custom flight case.
