This is a vintage late-1960s Maestro W-2 Sound System For Woodwinds effects unit. Originally built to be used with flutes and saxophones and the like, it didn't take long before the W-2 was co-opted by guitarists. It is designed similarly to an organ, with frequency dividers to achieve Octave/2-Octave down effects. Each rocker switch will transform or augment your guitar (or whatever you plug in) with varying degrees of fuzzy octave manipulation.

It's in excellent shape, coming with its original hard shell carrying case, as well as its original manual/pamphlet, and original cables and pickup for connecting to woodwinds. It originally had a mini-jack for an input, but that has been swapped to a more accessible 1/4" instrument jack. These boxes are also notorious for being extremely low-level output, so it's been lightly modified (by the removal of a resistor or two) to have way more healthy and usable level for use with normal amps.

This box is super unique, weird, and sounds awesome!
