I loved this board, but no longer do much recording so it must go. It has one issue which is that the pins on the power supply cable are broken. Unfortunately this means I can't power it up to test it. But when it worked it worked well. There were a few scratchy pots, but nothing that prevented any channels from being used (though I do recall one fader that would give some issues if you were live mixing it sometimes.

I really liked this board because of its overall sound and its eq.

It has two power supplies. One powers the VU meters and lights only I think, but I never really used the VU meters anyway.

It has 16 channels and 16 buses, although there are only 8 faders for the buses. I never actually used the 9-16 buses - never had a need to. Overall its connectivity is great, lots of sends returns, and balanced ins and outs.

The move with these boards is to rebuild their power supplies and recap them which greatly expands the headroom and reduces the noise floor. I have heard people say they are underpowered and this makes a huge difference. I never got into all that; I love it as is. But for those who want to take it to the next level, its a good option.

Best things about this board:

  • Each channel has three sweep able eqs in addition to a 10khz high. They sweep from 10hz to 15khz.
  • Its not small but its not as huge as other boards. I found it to be the perfect size
  • I used it as a summing mixer and it did great in that role. For my purposes 16 channels were enough.
  • It has great connectivity with a send, return, xlr mic, line into, and direct out on each channel. It also has a bunch of bus, effects and aux sends.
  • The mic pres are good, they are not great. I liked them better than the soundcraft I used to use. I mainly used them on drums and they did a great job. For other things I used I dedicated preamp.
  • It also has a built in stand. I never used it but I have it which is cool.
  • Not that it matters all that much but its a cool looking board.
  • I love the faders. They are super smooth.

Here is a song I mixed on it :
