Olson SJ 2015 - Natural Cedar & Rosewood

I purchased this beautiful Olson SJ direct from Olson in 2015. It is the James Taylor SJ but it is NOT signed by James Taylor.  I was blessed to have numerous email communications with Jim Olson during the ordering process. He is every bit a gentleman as he is an artist. The guitar is in pristine condition. Mint, like new. I purchased it at that time despite my very limited playing abilities and financial resources. I was not then, nor am I now, a very good guitarist. My playing time on this guitar can be measured in minutes. It has always been maintained in a carefully monitored humidified condition. You will see a personal note from Jim Olson in the photos. This guitar deserves to be played.  Whoever buys this is getting as close to a new guitar as you could get. While I am getting up in years and thinning the herd, I do not have to sell it. Here are the specs as sent to me by Jim.

Here is his description of the pick up and why he chose it.

“I install James Taylor's pick ups. It is an LR Baggs LB-6 pick up. He has tried everything including Fishman but always goes back to the baggs. It is not sophisticated per say but is hard for ma and pop stores to install. The Fishman Aura is a "pre amp" and James does use that with the LR Baggs pick up on occasion. A pre amp is a device in line between the pick up and amplifier to "condition" the signal. He also uses a Baggs pre amp, and on the road a more sophisticated rack mount one.”
