Whether you are a jazz influenced chord master, or a chicken pickin' country player, every now and then a guitarist gets that inner urge to crank up the gain, get the tubes cooking, and just go to town on some riffs.  That's what the Tomahawk is all about, getting that huge sound without having to haul the full stack around to every gig.

The Tomahawk is a British sounding pedal with a tweakable midrange that has a load of distortion on tap.  This is the heaviest sounding pedal I make, but still can be rolled back when necessary.  It's great for getting that "Wall of Sound" tone and really thumps with palm muting.  Many distortion pedals have an exaggerated low end that may sound fine while you're practicing by yourself at home, but once you crank up at the gig the bass response gets flabby and it steps all over the bass guitar.  This is not a problem with the Tomahawk, and the added presence knob allows you to dial in exactly where you want the guitar to sit in a live mix.
