**COMPLETELY CUSTOM**Big River/Fender Stratocaster**Fiesta Red Nitro Relic**Custom Shop 54’s with Blender**

The Big River “Izabella”

Up for sale is a brand new Big River ”Izabella” S-Style guitar. I had Gary Moore’s strat in the back of mind for this entire build. The body is alder and was cut with vintage contours. After the body was prepped, sanded, pore filled and sealed, it was given 14 coats of our custom mixed Fiesta Red Nitro. After the body was finished we gave it a light to medium relic job, with some really killer checking through out.

The neck is a licensed roasted maple with a rosewood fingerboard. A 9.5” radius, 22 med jumbo frets with rounded and hidden ends, a bone nut with a set of Fender Kluson Style Vintage Tuners that we aged.

The bridge/trem is a Fender Vintage Narrow 6pt with a big block that gives this Strat awesome resonance and sustain. All of the hardware, pickguard, covers and knobs on this Izabella was aged here as well.

For the electronics i went with a standard 5way with a blender pot on the 2nd tone knob for incredibly useful additional tones. I used a an Oak 5way switch, 250k CTS pots, a CTS blender pot, a .047 Mallory Mustard Cap, a PureTone 4 prong input jack for added stability and Gavitt Cloth pushback wire throughout. The blender allows you add as much or as little of the Neck and/or Bridge pickups into any position.

1.) Bridge + Neck

2.) Bridge + Middle + Neck

3.) Middle

4.) Neck + Middle + Bridge

5.) Neck + Bridge

For the pickups i went with a set of Fender Custom Shop 54’s. These '54 Strat pickups authentically recreate the clear tones and heightened sustain that made the Stratocaster the most revered guitar in rock history. These single-coil pickups are crafted to faithfully replicate the cutting tones reminiscent of 1954 Stratocaster guitars. The cleans are glassy and bell like, while the bottom end is snappy and round. These were made with Alnico 5’s giving them more focus and balance. And Formvar wire, with staggered hand beveled pole pieces for balance all across the strings. These are killer pickups the sound like they belong in this guitar.

The Big River ”Izabella” was built with a vintage look and feel in mind. From the classic Fiesta Red Nitro Finish to the killer checking along with all of the aged hardware. When you add the fantastic Vintage style pickups, this guitar looks, plays and sounds like a 60 year old instrument.

Here at Big River we've started doing our
own Nitro finishing on guitars. We mix our
own colors to try and closely match the
classic colors of the golden age of Strats
and Tele's . We are also mixing some
more modern Fender colors as well.
Some guitars will be relic'd, some will just
have that incredible old school feel.

My instruments receive a full setup, with a
deep body/neck cleaning and polish. All
gloss maple boards are polished, while all
rosewood/darker boards receive an F1 &
lemon oil treatment. make sure all
electronics are in working order and if
something under the hood needs to be
changed, I make that determination
based upon what type/year guitar im
working on. But either way I am upfront in
my listing. Guitars are set up with
D'Addario XL 9-42's. Action is checked.
and adjusted to Low-Med if necessary.
and tuning and intonation is set on all
instruments before I pack them to ship.

It always made me feel good when i
pulled a guitar out of a box and basically
only had to tune it up to pitch and away
you go, so I try to afford you the buyer, of
that same courtesy. Understand though
set ups are a truly personal thing. I
cannot guarantee everything but I try to
use the bell curve when it comes to
setting up instruments, so even if there is
something you wanted changed it is not a
big ordeal. Feel free to ask if there is
something specific you would like.
