For your consideration is a very beautiful and very rare Left-Handed (Pre-Ernie Ball) 1980 Music Man SABRE BASS.
This bass has huge tone and an abundance of sustain.
As you will notice the body is dated February 21, 1980 and neck is dated March 3, 1980.
Previous owner had neck professionally planed and refretted which included a PLEK dress. A Plek is a computer-controlled fret leveling tool which can provide an unparalleled fret job. It levels frets with an accuracy of .001″ and offers extremely advanced setup functions.
All of this work was done at Glaser Music in Nashville.
Previous to this an onboard wireless system was installed which was professionally reversed. There are two plugged holes from the added switches in the control plate as a result of the former modification. None of this affects playability, durability or any other function of the bass.
This Sabre has a decent amount of finish checking and patina due to its age. In all other ways this bass is an absolute beauty both sonically and visually. The bass comes with a professional Gator soft case and will be shipped with care.
