Gary Willis' absolute mastery of the fretless is well documented in recordings with Tribal Tech, Wayne Shorter, Allan Holdsworth, Hubert Laws, Joe DiOrio and his own solo recordings. He is also one of the finest bass instructors in the world—his seminars on bass are a must for players who want to take their playing to the next level. Gary's no-frills fretless bass personifies and facilitates his total tonal and dynamic control.

GWB neck

Only 20.5mm thick at the first fret, the 34" scale GWB5 neck is thin, fast and strong. The bolted on All Access neck joint allows the easy access to the upper frets associated with set-in and neck thru joints.

Basswood Body

Basswood is a comparatively lightweight wood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood is right in between alder and mahogany in sound character.

Fretless

Fret lines provide easy transition from fretted to fretless playing.
