Tokai LS-120 Love Rock 1982 - Ice Tea Burst (Old Sunburst)

It is no wonder these early '80's Tokai Les Pauls are so sought after. While Gibby was putting out some rather mediocre offerings at this time, brands like Tokai were busy studying and building '59's.

Just look at this top. This is the absolute essence of what a '59/'60 Les Paul should be. Officially called old sunburst, this is what you dream of when you think of a perfect Ice Tea flame top, of course Nitro finish. Perfect dark Rosewood with streaks and striations as you would see on a Brazilian board. One piece magohany neck excellent with a carve that has just the right amount of chunk, not too chunky. Electronics original with exception of a set of Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups.

Hefty at just over 9 pounds but not a back breaker and exceptionally well balanced.

Guitar was just freshly and perfectly setup.

Okay aesthetically, and you would likely never notice this, but only at certain angles when you are looking for it, you can see what seems like a micro-fabric pattern in the nitro from what was likely an old case. Trust me no biggie you would never have noticed and if a problem you can return the guitar to me. A couple of superficial dings and nicks, a little buckle on the back, but nothing significant and nothing through the finish. Small pencil tip ding in the side of the fretboard binding on the bass side of the board half a centimeter to the left of the 3rd fret but doesn't impact play in any way.
