Nakamichi Dragon Cassette Deck Recapped Fully Serviced

Completely Serviced and overhauled by a certified Nakamichi Technician 5/13/2023. The heads are in excellent condition. They have been inspected under a microscope. Unit sounds amazing and works perfectly.

Transport completely disassemble sand rebuilt  cleaned the old lubricants from gears/shafts/naac module and relube replaced the belts and idler tire, cleaned the heads and pinch rollers checked the wow & flutter 0.018% to 0.023%. - repaired the NAAC blue wire - adjusted the heads height-azimuth/tape travelling path/mechanism's offset. - cleaned the potentiometers using Deoxit D5.  replaced the reels sensor and cassette compartment light bulbs. - reinforced the left side mountings of the transport mechanism. - replaced the electrolytic caps using Nichicon FG/FW/KW caps in the power supply circuits, United Chemicon in the logic circuits and Elna Silmic II/Nichicon Muse non-polar in the audio circuits.  Replaced the orange polypropylene caps using WIMA PP caps, matching the values for perfect balancing. - upgraded the 1uF/2.2uF electrolytic caps in the audio path using Kemet film caps - increased the value of the eight Dolby power supply filter caps from 100uF to 220uF. - increased the value of the playback power supply filter cap from 100uF to 470uF. Unit has been tested for 30 hours.

Unit will be packed extremely well in a large heavy duty box with lots of packing material.I pack all of my gear to survive being dropped from 6 feet. Packing supplies are  very expensive Box , bubble wrap ,styrofoam etc is about $35.  And shipping in a large box makes shipping rate higher  That's why shipping is high . But you need a large box to ship it properly.  Will also be insured
