Gallien-Krueger - Tom Hamilton's Aerosmith, 2009 "Dummy" Fusion 550   Bass Amp Head, Non-Functioning, Authenticated! (#104)

We just received about 120 basses, guitars and amps from Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith. Tom is a founding member of Aerosmith. After 50 years in one of the hardest touring bands ever, he's accumulated so much gear that's he's asked us to help put it in the hands of people who can love it as much as he has. This gear has made rock and roll history on the world's largest stages.  Now it's your turn to take it, and make your own rock history.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a truly unique part of Tom Hamilton's live bass rig that propelled Aerosmith through 13 years of their 50 year history.

Tom Hamilton played a Gallien-Krueger amp and cab rig comprised of GK Fusion 550 amps and an array of GK NEO cabinets in live performances with Aerosmith starting in 2009 through the final shows of their Las Vegas Deuces Are Wild residency in December of 2022. The rig included up to 9 pieces and evolved through a variety of configurations during 13 years it was in service.

This "dummy" Fusion 550 amp head was part of this rig. Originally, some of the power for Tom's GK rig came from GK Fusion 550 bass amps stacked on top of an assortment of GK NEO speaker cabinets. Eventually, all the power for the rig was transferred to his offstage rack and replaced onstage with three GK custom made, non-functioning dummy Fusion 550 heads with the sole purpose of looking cool. This is one of the three dummy (and one spare) GK 550s. The amps include AC power and light up when the power is turned on. Now THAT'S Rock 'n'Roll!!!

Includes a COA signed by Tom Hamilton and is identified by an Aerosmith inventory tag.

Acquired directly from Tom Hamilton. Tom’s bass tech personally inspected the head and confirmed it was in excellent working condition with no notable issues.

Tom’s techs Bobby Schneck and Aiden Mullen explain the complete rig in the videos below. See and hear the rig onstage in live Aerosmith videos below.
