This vintage Circuit bent Speak & Read features a battery kill/hard reset switch with battery indicator LED and a new quick reset feature, 1/8th" mono output jack, 1/4" mono output jack, a momentary loop button, a loop hold switch, 5 different glitch switches, 2 distortion switches, a pitch on/off switch and corresponding pitch amount knob. This one is in Excellent condition.
The Speak & Read was released in 1980 and uses a 4 bit microprocessor and a custom DSP. It has a vocabulary of 250 words and uses the same TMS5100 voice synthesis processor chip found in the Speak & Spell. The added modifications make this unit perfect for creative sound design.
