Vintage Torodor/Slingerland MIJ 1970's - Honey Mother of Pearl / brass drum set

Found this classic a while back and although almost 100% complete it was in bad shape. As always took it apart down to the screws and completely detailed the kit. The brass plated hardware is what made me fall in love. Although it is aged and shows some fade, etc. this set is absolutely breath taking. It was originally wrapped in "plastic woodgrain" (think of basement panelling from the 1970's) It was not a good look. So, I purchased Honey Mother of Pearl and "boom" it's what you see here! It's stunning and pictures don't do it justice. Then, I found a pair of slingerland 8 and 10" toms on a brass stand with all brass hardware and had to expand it. This is a killer one of a kind kit. The rewrap is tight and excellent and you will love the 1970's sound you get from this Pearl made Torodor.

Some of the nitty gritty details...

1 arm for the Torodor rack toms has been painted gold to match the rest of the hardware.

2 bass drum hoops have been painted gold to match the rest of the hardware

the neck for the rack toms is original and brass but has been reinforced and welded to withstand the vibration and abuse of play and has been painted gold over the brass just to make the weld less noticeable.

The kit is over 50 years old and is in impeccable shape now that it has been restored. I have gigged this kit (as I do all my kits) and it is an absolute stand out.
