This is an awesome little sixties Harmony that has the Five Star label. I've seen a few of these for sale, but could never find much info about them. This one is a 1969 (S69 USA stamps) and has the same profile as a Stella 929 or 927 from the same year. Same bridge, neck, trapeze, but also some nickel or stainless tuners and (I think) a slightly thinner top.
Despite the different top, the tone is what you would expect! Plays excellent. Holds tune, intonation is really good for the style. Action gets high up the neck, but there's plenty of room to adjust or shave the floating bridge if you want to venture up there without a slide. Also the Five Star branding and star markers are the cleanest I've seen.
This guitar came in with a little warp from the hole to the bridge (pictured with level). Spent a couple days getting steamed and clamped...afterwards added a little Titebond to the heel (pictured) and a little under a hairline soundhole crack (also pictured). It's now much more flush, but I didn't do too much, because it sounds sweet and the finish is beautiful.
I'll get around to video if I can, bit I expect this listing wont last long. Fantastic sixties Harmony that no one else on your block will have :)
