Fresh in from the world-renowned Private Stock at PRS Guitars is this mesmerizing McCarty 594 Singlecut. We had gotten wind that for the first time in over 2 years, PRS had received a shipment of some amazing Quilted Maple, and we knew we had to get our hands on a set. Luckily, we were able to grab this absolutely bonkers tubular quilt set, and it was immediately apparent that this particular top was screaming to be finished in one of our favorite Private Stock finishes - Sub Zero Glow Smokeburst. For the smokeburst on this guitar, we wanted it to be a contour burst and not a tear drop, so as to keep as much of the beautiful figuring in the quilted maple visible. From there, we selected an exceptional Figured Mahogany body and paired that with a gorgeous Flamed Mahogany neck. The matching backplates on the Figured Mahogany body keeps this guitar sleek and classy to the eye. The neck is topped with an Ebony fretboard with stained Curly Maple bird inlays with Sparkle Mother of Pearl outlines and curly maple binding. The headstock features an Ebony overlay with a stained curly maple Private Stock Eagle inlay with Sparkle Mother of Pearl outline, a matching Ebony truss rod cover, and curly maple binding. To round out this build, we chose to outfit this guitar with smoked black and gold hardware - a perfect compliment to the color and aesthetic of this astonishing guitar.
