This is one of the first amps rewired by George Alessandro for the public.
According to Bill Finnegan from Klon pedals, he was at a music trade show (NAMM or the like) in late 1995 or early 1996 when he started talking to George. Bill brought up that he had just acquired a new 1959 Fender Bassman Reissue 4x10 combo amp. George convinced Bill to let him rewire the amp section, which he did for free.
I bought this amp without knowing the history of it, and played it for about a year, gigging occasionally. I had a head case custom made by Mojotone, and had a 1/4" speaker output jack installed by Tom from AZTECH Electronics. The tolex has minor wear, but the amp is in pristine condition.
