Custom Fender Stratocaster Gilmour Inspired "Red Strat" Candy Apple Red EMG DG20 with Gigbag

Here's a nod to the guitar that defined an era. So.... you didn't have $700,000 to get the winning bid for Dave's actual Red Strat at the Christie's auction? Neither did I 😒. Now is your chance to get a brand new, genuine Fender, faithful replica of the guitar that defined Gilmour's tone from 1985-2005.

This is a Fender Stratocaster that has been custom built by E11even Guitars, to spec of David Gilmour's famous Red Strat, using all new components.

The body is a new Genuine Fender Classic 60s Alder Strat finished in Candy Apple Red gloss poly. This model has vintage 2 7/32" string spacing. There are two minor blems in the finish from the factory that are shown in the photos. One is just behind the bridge and is a spec of the gold flake, the other is on the lower side of the heel. Both are under the clear coat. Very minor but wanted to indicate they are there. It is loaded with the EMG DG-20 pickguard assembly with the pickguard changed from the stock pearloid to a single ply 8 hole white with matching tremolo cover and parchment knobs and tips, to stay true to the original Red Strat. The tremolo is a genuine Fender big block vintage style with a short 4.25" arm like Dave's to be held by your pinky while soloing.

Here are the details for the DG20 assembly from the EMG website: "David Gilmour is recognized the world over for his revolutionary and incomparable sound with the legendary Pink Floyd and his work as a solo artist. When you hear the tones coming out of his red Strat® you're hearing his signature EMG Pro Series system: the DG20. This set utilizes our ivory Alnico loaded SA single coil pickups, an EXG Guitar Expander for increased treble and bass frequencies, and an SPC presence control to enhance your Strat's earthiness and mid-range."

The neck is a new Genuine Fender Classic 50s 21 fret 1pc maple with an aged tint gloss poly finish. It features a vintage 7.25" fretboard radius, upgraded Graph Tech NuBone nut and soft V back contour. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. It is fitted with genuine Gotoh SD91 Vintage tuners and a Kluson string tree.

The guitar weighs 7.6 lbs and has nice smooth action for those big bluesy bends and is strung with David Gilmour signature GHS Boomers 10-48 gauge strings with the tremolo floating (as it should be 😊). Also included is the new Fender Deluxe padded gigbag shown. Will ship UPS ground and require a signature for delivery.
