What:

Wide panel Tweed Pro Amp. 18W Cathode biased watts of goodness through a Jensen P15N. Built by Eileen. A really wonderful example, very well cared for. I just have too many amps. Have owned this one for ? 30 years (ish). Before that it was lost in a closet way down south. SN 3275 places it in 1952 (per vintageandrare.com list of SN; 2500-3500 was 1952). Fender historian Nic Grabien thinks it may be a '53, so there is that.

Appearance:

Chrome and lettering are in good shape. What looks like a very mild water stain on the bottom, otherwise perfect outside. Original tweed is in good shape, as is the oxblood grill as you can see in pics (both all original) I have included a pic with the asbestos pad to support that point. Wood & corners are all solid. Magnet bell cover has what looks like very old masking tape glue? on it. Might polish off or soak off with something? I never tried.

Techie Stuff:

All original Triad transformers. All US made NOS tubes, octal pre-amp tubes. (REAL) Tung Sol pre-amp tubes, Sylvania 6L6GCs, Philco labelled 5U4GB rectifier. Probably $400 worth of tubes these days! Coupling caps were replaced (by OEI back when this was a customer amp) with a combination of Victoria Amp custom orange drops & Mallory 150 couplers (The original leaky Astrons will be included with the amp) New leather handle (old one disintegrated) Converted to 3-prong cord. (will not revert, pls don't ask) and US made Sprague filter caps. The speaker has been re-coned, by Anthony Van Note at Vintone.
