Here is an awesome Stratocaster made from a 1983 Fender Strat neck, with a hardtail MJT pine body in lake placid blue. HIpshot bridge.
The 1983 Strat necks are unusual as they have medium jumbo frets and a 12" radius for the fret board. This neck is particularly thin as well, which I have heard David Gilmour loves about this era of Strats. The frets are in good condition, and the paint on the neck looks really good, almost brand new with a few spots being slightly blemished. The setup on this instrument is really quite good! Action is super low, with 9 gauge strings tuned to Eb.
The body is a recent MJT build, made from pine and finished in nitro lake placid blue, weighing in at 6 lbs and 5 oz. The checking is very nice, and the aging brings the classic feel together. Overall, this guitar is super resonant, and sounds awesome.
The pickups are Q pickups handwound 50s style, and give the guitar a beautiful, warm and bold sound. Add in the hardtail, and you get classic Strat sounds all day. All of the hardware is Callaham stainless steel. Please note that the pickguard is not "vintage" correct, so there is a small gap between the body and neck. The neck is 100% in the pocket though.
