Vintage API 1604 Console - Completely Restored with Direct Outs

We spent the last 8 months restoring this console after purchasing it sight unseen from a well known gear collector as a "museum piece" for our private ANALOGr studio. After we picked up the console, it went to our techs and then we found out that it needed to be completely restored because the previous owner had harvested the original op amps. Feel free to ask us about the seller!! There were also many inconsistent modules not directly related to this early era of API . After this discovery, the goal was to ensure that everything on the console was 100% original to the era of early 1970's API and we spared no expense. We have truly accomplished this and since we've moved into our new retail space there is no allowance for a recording studio, so sadly, we have decided to put this console up for sale.

Every single API 2520 Op Amp in the console is either vintage Melville, NY or Huntington, NY. We also added transformer balanced direct outs both pre fader and post fader to each channel. Those are Huntington 2520’s as well. The Power Supply has been totally rebuilt. Every switch/cap has been cleaned or replaced. The entire console is as good as new and there are no issues. Every single technical issue was addressed down to cleaning any scratchy pots.

We have a record all of the Service Documents completed by Doctor Bass in Los Angeles, CA. Comes with many spare parts. These consoles are harder and harder to come by, and this one is ready for your studio right now.
